Aminoethanesulfonic acid

White crystalline powder, odorless, soluble in water.
Aminoethanesulfonic acid is introduced into the formulation of dry food for cats, dogs and fish in order to make up for taurine deficiency. Taurine deficiency in the body causes metabolic disorders, retinal degeneration and the development of extensive cardiomyopathy - a degenerative disease of the heart muscle.

Functions of taurine:

• participates in the formation of bile acids necessary for the absorption of fats in the intestine;
• has a beneficial effect on the heart muscle, participates in the synthesis of rhodopsin and has antioxidant properties;
• stabilizes cell membranes.
